Raghu Raghuram, Chief Executive Officer

Raghu Raghuram was appointed VMware’s Chief Executive Officer and a member of the VMware Board of Directors effective June 1, 2021. Prior to that Mr. Raghuram served as VMware’s Chief Operating Officer, Products and Cloud Services since October 2016, guiding VMware’s cloud and SaaS transformation efforts. Prior to that he served as Executive Vice President, Software-Defined Data Center division from February 2014 to October 2016, and Executive Vice President, Cloud Infrastructure and Management from April 2012 to February 2014. Mr. Raghuram joined VMware in 2003 and has held multiple product management and marketing roles. Mr. Raghuram served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Cloud Infrastructure and Management, Virtualization and Cloud Platforms, and Enterprise Products, from December 2009 through March 2012. Mr. Raghuram previously served as Vice President of VMware’s Server business unit and of Product and Solutions Marketing through December 2009. Prior to VMware, Mr. Raghuram held product management and marketing roles at Netscape Communications Corporation and Bang Networks, Inc.

Karen Dykstra , Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President

Karen Dykstra has served as VMware’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President since June 9, 2023 and as a director of VMware since March 2016. Prior to joining VMware, she served as Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Officer of AOL, Inc., a global media technology company, from November 2013 until July 2015, and as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AOL from September 2012 until November 2013. Ms. Dykstra previously served on the Board of Directors of AOL from 2009 until September 2012, including service as Chair of the Audit Committee during her last two years on the AOL board. From January 2007 until December 2010, Ms. Dykstra had been a Partner of Plainfield Asset Management LLC (“Plainfield”), an asset management company, and she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Plainfield Direct LLC, Plainfield’s business development company, from May 2006 to 2010, and as a director from 2007 to 2010. She previously spent over 25 years with Automatic Data Processing, Inc., a provider of human capital management solutions to employers, from 1981 through 2006, serving most recently as Chief Financial Officer from January 2003 to May 2006, and previously as Vice President – Finance, Corporate Controller and in other capacities.

Jean-Pierre Brulard, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Jean-Pierre Brulard was appointed VMware’s Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales effective February 2020.  Mr. Brulard previously served as VMware’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, EMEA from April 2015 to January 2020 and as Vice President, EMEA, Southern Region from April 2009 to April 2015.  Prior to joining VMware, Mr. Brulard served in senior management positions of increasing responsibility for Business Objects, an enterprise software company, for seven years, most recently as its Senior Vice President and General Manager, EMEA.

Amy Fliegelman Olli, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Amy Fliegelman Olli has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary since December 2020. She joined VMware as Senior Vice President and General Counsel in August 2017, and was appointed as Secretary in October 2017. Prior to joining VMware, Ms. Fliegelman Olli served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Avaya, Inc., a provider of contact center, unified communications and networking products, from June 2014 through August 2017. Previously, she was the General Counsel of CA, Inc., a provider of software solutions, from September 2006 to June 2014 where her responsibilities covered all legal, governance, compliance, internal audit, security, risk management and controls matters. Ms. Fliegelman Olli also spent 18 years with IBM Corporation, ultimately serving as Vice President and General Counsel for the Americas and Europe.

Sumit Dhawan, President

Mr. Dhawan was appointed VMware’s President effective June 1, 2021. Prior to that Mr. Dhawan served as VMware’s Chief Customer Experience Officer since February 2020. Prior to that, Mr. Dhawan served as CEO of Instart (formerly Instart Logic), a multinational cloud company focused on web and mobile application delivery, customer experience and security for enterprise customers, from May 2018 until February 2020. Previously, Mr. Dhawan joined VMware in September 2013 and served in various roles in VMware’s End User Computing group, including as Senior Vice President, Desktop Products from July 2014 to November 2016 and as Senior Vice President and General Manager of VMware’s End User Computing group from November 2016 through May 2018.
